Does anybody know if vitamin C can really cause kidney stones?
I have researched this topic extensively, and it seems every body has a different view on the topic. I personally believe that it doesn't, because i was taught that vitamin C was converted to oxalates after if is outside the body in your urine. Does anybody know for a fact if it does or doesn't? Any help will be appreciated.
Woops i mean everybody.

From my conclusion researching this a couple years ago, vitamin C does NOT cause kidney stones. I believe most of the information stating that it could possibly cause it, was simply misinformation put out there to confuse people and scare people away from vitamin C, as it is more effective then people know, for many things.
This myth was created without any study ever done, just theory by some doctors and is taught in medical school that it may cause kidney stones. The doctors that actually studied this, concluded that vitamin C actually most likely prevents kidney stones and never has there been a documented case.

There is no smoking gun evidence, however there is enough theoretical evidence to lead health experts to warn that a certain risk does exist – especially to those prone to kidney stones. This refers to mega-doses.
