Exactly… Many times, one can try shutting off their senses and hence putting the brain to work. The brain will find ways and means to sense the outside world. In doing so, if it succeeds to interpret something that otherwise normally cannot be done, it adds to the perceptions of the person, fueling the Extra Sensory Perception capabilities in that person.

no, Maharishi died on February 5, 2008, in the Netherlands, aged 90.

Maharishi is still alive on Youtube at least and also he said that the important thing is the knowledge he taught not the individual who revived the knowledge.
Maharishi is definitely also lively in my heart and I grow in experience all the time.

wonderful – I am from India and i know people with little things developed like being able to see things out of sight or knowing anothers thought But i never seen anyone with the DIVINE POWERS Maharishi had.
He was so powerful – he did a good job of hiding it though…

Note that he doesn’t actually answer the question but instead draws a bizarre parallel with physics, the mind cannot experience the vacuum state, it’s an analogy. If it wasn’t yogic flying would work!
After 30 years of teaching sidhis shouldn’t everyone have divine powers? Anyone care to demonstrate?

@aarthoor yea thats true but thats not the point, i think that these powers that hindus mysticis about are like the miracouls of jesus. its basicly saying that the greater conscoiusness you are the more divine powers you have, which in turn would bring happiness.. im not that advance but maybe each sidhi they talk about has its own effect on the phyche in the form of intelligence

@luciuswake i would agree but only if dogma scares you it can limit you, if u figured out the true meaning behind the dogmas of the world religions, you obtain enlightenment. its the western form of medittion. an enlightened man tells a story then the little people meditate on the meaning. its only when peple take these as literal trths and not spiritual truths is when they limit us
