Do vitamins work? Does the body actually absorb all the stuff on the label, or is it more creative marketing?

I'll believe that what's on the label is actually inside the pill, but does the body actually absorb all the vitamins and minerals inside the pills or is it more marketing? Or which ones do a better job of absorption, which ones actually work.

  1. Our bodies only absorb a portion of the vitamin supplements and they are only intended to be a supplement to a healthy diet. Dietary supplements can never replace a healthy diet.

It is very hard to get all the nutrients you need from a normal diet.

  2. Your body never absorbs 100% of what you eat, it’s not 100% efficient. Thats why we poop. However, all the stuff in supplement pills is pretty much useful to your body, and your body does absorb enough of it to get by. Of course, they are just supplement pills, they should not replace any meals.

  3. MARKETING!!!!!!!! My aunt has been taking vitamins for her brittle bones for years and she has boken her leg twice and rescently broke her arm! MOST VITAMINS ARE A LOT OF BUMKISH! You want vitamins and minerals… EAT FRUITS AND VEGGIES!
