When I was a child, I was beaten if I did not empty my plate, even if I had had enough, and even if I was not hungry. I was skinny as a child, but once I hit puberty, I was still beaten if I did not eat everything on the plate.
Today I am obese.

I changed my diet mostly because I got into preparedness. Breakfast is a slice of whole wheat bread from my wheat storage (it’s cheaper and better for you than store bought bread and it’s easy, just run it through your bread machine), piled high with sprouts that I grow myself, and a couple organic eggs.
Salad for lunch (with more spouts), & fruit during break. I drink about 20 oz of coffee every day though (since I work the graveyard shift). Coffee is probably my worse vise during the week.
