As long as you eat your healthy portion controlled meals, go ahead and have a little treat now and again when you have a craving. If you find that this happens constantly, then wait ten minutes before you have your treat.
Most cravings will pass in that time. Try to distract yourself. I find the computer to be a wonderful distraction; especially watching videos. Before you know it you’re so engrossed that you forget you had a craving. Hope that helps :o)
Hi, there is so much conflicting information out right now about Calcium and Vitamin D supplements and whether or not they are good for you. If you get enough natural sunshine, your body will produce all the vitamin D you need. You only need 10-15 minutes of exposure to arms and legs to take in all your body needs. If you are getting this,then supplements are not necessary. You will also get what you need if you have a varied natural whole foods diet. Processed foods can be void of nutrition.
If you are darker skinned, you may need a bit more time in the sun. than a fair-skinned person to make the same amount of vitamin D. This is non-burning UVB exposure. If you live in a very northern climate where sunlight is too weak in parts of the year to make any vitamin D, then you can consider supplementation during those periods if you feel that you are falling short in your diet. Vitamin D is supplemented into many foods now, so do examine what you eat first. Hope that helps :o)
If you eat healthy smaller portions, you will keep your metabolism raised because your body knows it’s being fed and won’t hoard calories and fat, and you will definitely lose weight that way also. The best part is that you will truly lose weight, not water. Don’t forget you have to exercise as well. As for the cleanse, I really don’t recommend it. It will cause you to feel run down and probably sabotage your diet efforts in the long run.
You really need a meal plan that you can live with for the long haul; more like a lifestyle, or way of eating. Once your body gets used to it, it will just be part of you. So, good luck with your new diet plan. Keep it healthy and stay fit with exercise and you will feel wonderful while you are losing weight rather than tired and deprived.
Hi, don’t let the pressure of the pre-diabetes make you do something rash like a crash diet. I’m sure your doctor wants you to be as healthy as possible and jumping into a strict diet with both feet is not healthy for you and unfortunately, you are much more likely to give it up down the road because of deprivation. You need to commit yourself to a lifestyle change. I have a video series on Binge eating uploaded that I think you will find helpful.
Even if you are not a binge eater, there is a lot of information in that video that I think you will find very helpful to jump start your program. Once armed with some tips, you can then make a plan for yourself. Go shopping and buy some healthy foods. Prepare them a head of time and keep them in the fridge for when you are hungry so that you don’t reach for something quick and processed. I do this. I always have steamed broccoli, lasagna, chicken, cut up fruit, etc. available in my fridge.
When I come home and I’m starving, I can reach for something healthy instead of something that’s just convenient. I hope I’ve helped. Good luck – you can do it!
I have a friend called Sabrina Wesely ( if u know her ) . She keeps on asking me 4 advice EVERYDAY. I tell her that i really dunno. She says that she gets very hungry between meals and eats alot even if it is a healthy snack & then she is not hungry for dinner. Her hunger timings are very strange . What can she do ??

Hi, your friend should start eating smaller meals throughout the day. It sounds like she has a high metabolism, which is great, and three meals just don’t satisfy her. It is good to eat when you are hungry as that is how you keep your metabolism revved and avoid your body going to conservation of calories mode which slows it down and that’s how you store fat. Sabrina probably needs more healthy fats and calorie dense foods with her meals and she will stay satisfied longer.
This will help prevent her from overeating at snack time. Things she can add to her diet include peanut butter, nuts, olive oil to her salad, low fat cheeses and yogurt and whole grain foods. These will keep her fuller are processed slower in the body. You’re a great friend to seek advice for her. I hope she’ll consider subscribing to my channel as well. Then she can write me too!
Hi, I’m so glad you are enjoying my videos! Thank you for your support :o) I do want you to quit smoking as soon as possible. Quitting now is easy, however, the longer you do it, the harder it will be for you to quit. Smoking will interfer with blood flow to your face and eventually cause wrinkles and speed up the aging process. My recommendation for your legs and tummy is that you begin a regular exercise program. 30-40 minutes of cardio at least 3 times a week followed by
20 minutes of ab and leg exercises. To get all the wonderful benefits of exercise, I do emphasize that you stop smoking. You significantly reduce your lung capacity by smoking. Drinking coffee does have a temporary effect of speeding up your metabolism, but if you want long term benefits of a high metabolism, cardio exercise with strength training is your answer. Simply eating more frequent smaller meals throughout the day will help to rev your metabolism as well. Good luck!
