Can you get sunshine vitamin d through the window of a house or car?
Do insect screens or windows block much of the vitamin d from the sun?
What about if the sun comes through the window, reflects off a mirror then onto your skin.
In these situations will vitamin d be produced?

Vitamin D is one of the vitamins that the body can’t live without. It helps maintain your body organs and allows calcium to circulate freely in your bloodstream.

No, John, unfortunately you don’t get the Vitamin D through the window. Take 1000 MG’s of Vitamin D every day, and you’ll be fine. Remember, there are millions of people who work the night shift, and sleep when the sun is out and the strongest.

Actually, vitamin d is produced in your skin via a chemical reaction caused by UV light. Since most windows reflect the majority of UV light, the light you get indoors will not be able to produce the reaction well. Also, most sunscreens will block this reaction form occurring as well. The best answer to this is a supplement as intentionally exposing yourself to large amounts of UV radiation can have obvious perils.
