can i drink my vitamin water as a substitute for a UTI?

This cranberry is so nasty and so is tap water everytime I drink it I feel like I'm going to throw up. The meds I'm on cause nausea so the cranberry and nasty water makes it worse. I love vitamin water and it's after all water so can I substitute that instead? Or sparkling water?

  1. Hi – yes of course you can drink your vitamin water instead of cranberry juice; you are right, cranberry is an acquired taste!

The copious drinking of water is important simply because it flushes out your kidneys, bladder and urethra. In some UTI’s, the lining of the bladder is raw and even bleeding, so water dilutes any strong liquids that may be there, aggravating the lining even more. I hope that you are being treated properly for this UTI; they don’t go away on their own.

    Drink away!

    Good luck.

  2. Just about any liquid, just flush it out of your system!

  3. Yes. The important thing is that you drink a lot. So vitamin water is fine.
