can drinking gatorade stop weight loss?

Hi,

first of all, im not on some crash diet, I recently had 3 wisdom teeth extracted and havent been able to eat anything except liquids, mostly soup, jello and juice. Ive been drinking a lot of gatorade for the vitamins, but my question is, why am I not losing weight? Once when i was sick i was dropping like a pound a day because i couldnt eat too much, but i havent lost anything in 4 days. Does the sodium and electolytes in gatorade impede weight loss or make me retain liquids?

thanks

  1. Gatorade is full of sugar and so are jello and juice. If you’re looking to loose weight, try healthier foods like fruit smooties and unsweetened applesauce. The sodium could be a factor too. Also, Gatorade doesn’t have vitamins, you must be thinking of Vitamin Water.

  2. try drinking gatorade g2, it has less calories and still has the electolytes.

  3. No Gatorade doesnt slow down losing weight, it just slows it down…If it affected you in that way why would pro athletes be using it…Gatorade gives you energy…Since your not eating your not getting energy.
