can a multivitamin added to meds increase blood pressure?
I take toprol xl for blood pressure, and zoloft for depression. I recently added a multivitamin, and noticed my blood pressure getting higher, headaches, and ringing in ears, and just feeling very off, weird. Could a multi added cause these weird problems. I've tried 2 different multi's, centrum silver, and one a day womens 50 advantage.

Yes it can raise your BP……
Avoid solid pills that have Di-Calcium Phosphate as a binding agent. (known blood vessel paralytic) You may need to avoid other ingredients such as Vitamin E, Licorice Root, Choline and Ginger…these all raises BP.
Liquid Vitamins may be the way to go: http://www.cylbookstore.com/topics/currentoffers/detail/Product_Catalog_30.html
Before you buy your next bottle, google the ingredients to see if it raises BP. Be sure to read Toprol Xl label for any contraindicated warnings about vitamins and herbs. Do the same for Zoloft as well.
If all fails, a nice juicer, like the one Montel Williams is currently promoting is a good one. (It meshes the rind and pulp into the liquid. Great stuff! You won’t miss any important nutrient)
Hope this helps…

I think you need to talk with your pharmacist about his. A multivitamin with any blood pressure medication does not usually cause these symptoms. Maybe your pharmacist can figure this out for you.
