Can a child who is already taking a multivitamin supplement also take a packet of Emergen-C?

...or would this cause the child to overdose on vitamins (especially on vitamin C)?

I'm asking this because my little brother is a terribly picky eater (he only eats french fries, macaroni and cheese, salami sandwiches, and junk food). He constantly gets sick and so I am buying him this liquid multivitamin supplement. Should I also buy him some Emergen-C? What do you think? Thanks.

  1. No, if he’s already taking multivitamins he does not need any more. Maybe a drinking supplement like pedisure or ensure. You can overdose on vitamins. The human system has some bodily made nutrients that create some vitamins from some of the food he eats.
