can a b vitamin complex make you itchy?

I took a b vitamin complex last night and now i'm really itchy mainly on my arms and legs (ankles and knees). I know a deficiency in b vitamins can make you itchy but can it work the other way around? Here are the list of ingredients.
vitamin c,b1,b2,b3,b6,folic acid,b12,biotin,pantothenic acid
i'm not deficient in b vitamins, i took them to replace those lost by a night of drinking (yes i know drinking is bad for you) since i didn't have any gatorade.

  1. lol I went on here searching for the answer to your question. I just recently started taking a Vitamin B Complex and was fine for 2 days until today my face and neck started to feel itchy. It feels like there are bugs crawling underneath my skin and it is very annoying. Since you have a similar situation as me then maybe it is the Vitamin B Complex. I am going to try it again tomorrow to see if I still get the same reaction.

  2. I have never heard that happening before. I use a vitamin B complex everyday and it has never bothered me. Are you sure its the vitamin and not some other factor? Try it again today – Oh and you are supposed to take vitamins in the morning, especially Vitamin B as they make you more alert and it will be harder to fall asleep at night

  3. well if you took it in pill form, you are still deficient, most of the B vitamins are destroyed in stomach acids. You can get B-12 and B-6 in lozenge form so you let them melt in your mouth and absorb the nutrients through the mucous membranes in your mouth. The others you need to get from a balanced diet. Taking them in pill form does you no good and is a waste of money.
