I'm a girly girl. When you're fat, you don't feel girlish at all." The New Brunswick native says she was already about 30 lb. overweight when she got pregnant in mid-2003. She then packed on another 60 lb. while "eating for two," a strategy that landed her in hospital during her third trimester with severe high blood pressure. After the birth of son Brett in February 2004, Herschmiller set her mind to taking off her excess cellulite and lowering her blood pressure. But she discovered it was easier said than done. "It wasn't coming off at all," she says. "I was exercising and everything, but it just wasn't coming off." Desperate to reclaim her girlish figure, she signed up at an Edmonton LA Weight Loss Center. Through a meal plan designed specifically for her, Herschmiller, 27, began eating six small nutritious meals a day. I bought this on dvd three years ago. I did 20 minutes every other day (alternating belly/butt and belly/thighs) and on the inbetween days I would take a casual 1 to 2 mile walk. I also followed a low fat diet plan (allowing myself one cheat meal and two cheat snacks per week). I lost 40 lbs in less than 5 months. So I think this is a great workout to do in addition to eating healthy! After having a baby I’m starting the program all over.

These are awesome exercises.
However, most of the people in this video are already fit and ‘toned’.
They don’t really need to do these exercises too hard to ‘maintain’ their shape.

@Pavarsija Looks to be. Although, from experience, I can tell you that the results won’t be obvious overnight. You’ll have to club this in with cardio and weight training (in case you want to build muscle as well) to see the results in 2 months or so.

for people asking whether this will get rid of your belly fat… no, it won’t. this certainly helps you strengthen your core but it’s impossible for you to eliminate fat from just one part of your body because that’s not how fat burning works. combine this with a cardio program.

When she says “neck stretch” that is a bit incorrect right? Strain to the neck is very dangerous and will make us get tired easier- so shouldn’t it be usage of the core?

@JBFave okay, i’m not a pro at this, but i’ve done some pilates at the gym before, not as diverse excercises as this video though. :) it’s stricly for gaining a “stable” body, somehow, and getting taught and lean abs, legs, arms, etc. obviously, this video shows taught and lean abs =) that’s all it is. in my own definition out of experience, its like a relaxing way to exercise, not all sweating and stuff. its great.
