black stool what can it be?


i have a smelly black/brown stool what can be the cause? i drank 2 packets of emergen c can this be it? here is whats in emergen c

  1. Could be a Gastrointestinal Bleed. I don’t think it would have to do with the over the counter med you took. I would go get checked out As soon as possible.

  2. Probably just from the emergen or something you ate. Pepto Bismol will do it, too.

    If it continues even when stopping taking the energen or eating different stuff, get it checked out, it could be blood. But that is a worst case scenario. I wouldn’t even worry about it for now.

  3. Could indicate blood or the ingestion of iron supplements.

  4. brown and black are different. if its black, thats not good…probably blood. go to the dr.
    and poop always stinks!! haha
