best way to minimize facial scarring (staph) besides Vitamin E or Maderma?

I have a recurrent staph infection on my face--and have for about 8 years now (btw: if you have experience with staph infections as well--please see myother post(s)/questions and see if you might be able to help there, too). It gets painful and tender and scabs but unlike acne, it really scars up. I get shiny, pinkish skin that looks tough. Its horrid!Its basically isloated around my chin area. I know about Vitamin E and am thinking of getting Maderma--or a specialized anti scarring ointment. However, if anyone has a great anti-scarring remedy that is highly effective or has had a GRAND experience with Maderma, please let me know! I need to do something!!
