  1. If I were to recommend a multi, I’d say the Dr. Micheal Murray formulation for women by Natural Factors.

To be honest, though, multis are not really as helpful as individuals. You run into competition for absorption, excess of unneeded vitamins, and insufficient amounts of needed ones. You might do better to get a good B complex, take some Cod Liver Oil (Carlson’s brand), glucosamine, Vit A and D combo, Calcium/Magnesium combo and add digestive enzymes and probiotics to get your body into proper absorption. Also, get out in the sun without sunscreen. Vit D is very important for women for bone health. 20 minutes with your arms and back getting sun will do a world of good that no supplement can match.

All that is said assuming you have addressed diet issues and are eating a healthy, organic diet to start with. The best way to get your supplements it food consumption. No artificial sweeteners or refined sugars (turbinado, honey and molasses as well as Stevia are acceptable). Also, watch labels for MSG, artificial colors and flavors. Stay as close to the garden as possible and any supplements you take will only add benefit to the already healthy diet.

  4. Shaklee’s Vitalizer
They have combined a strong multi along with omega 3′s, B vitamins, probiotics, and antioxidants. Comes in a strip of pills you take once a day. Shaklee has invested 250 million in research and development of there products and have been around for over 50 years.

  5. I find it best to get your vitamins straight from the food source. I enjoy the health benefits from blueberries. They are packed with vitamins.
