Basic Exercises to do at Home

WWW.LIVEONCE.CA Here are some exercises you can do at home to help strengthen and tone your body. We are using only weighted balls, a band and a mat for these exercises. Please remember to always consult a doctor before beginning any exercise program. I did not include a warm up or stretch in this vid, so please ensure you do both before starting the exercises. The exercises in the video are meant to be done consecutively, to fatigue (or 1 min each), rest and repeat at least 2 more times. If you have any questions or would like to see any specific exercises (for particular muscle groups) feel free to contact me anytime. Thanks for watching! Elisabeth :) www.LiveOnce.ca

  9. Wow you’re awesome, I’ve never been able to do regular push-ups (not the cheating girl ones he he he … at least I feel like I cheat when I do them ^_^) as great as yours and your arms are amazing!!! I’m so jealous. Need to get off my lazy ass and start working out again lol.

  10. truthfully, in order to tone up your body, do you have to attend a gym? (in addition to exercising at home)

  11. truthfully, in order to tone up your body, do you have to attend a gym? (in addition to exercising at home)

  12. @marierey321 no, you do not have to attend a gym to tone up, but you need to be educated with how to train without equipment or with minimal equipment (as i do in the video above). If you just search “body weight exercises” in the search bar, you should come up with some great ideas on how to train with out any equipment at all. You just need to keep in mind that consistency, diet and a balanced- challenging workout is going to give yo the best results.
    thanks!

  13. Thanks for replying back so fast. Love your videos!

  14. I just read in one of your responces that you only eat 15g carbs per meal, as a diabetic, my dietitian recommended I eat 45g per 3 meals and 2-3 15g for snacks.
What is your main source of carbs? I would like to lower my insulin intake to help me lose the weight gained from the amount of insulin, and so I will have to obviously lower my carb intake. I want the best healthy carbs, what do you recommend I add to my grocery list. Thank you for your response it will be very appreciated!

  15. @daisylyn1000 great sources for carbs can be found on the low end of the glycemic index. Things such as oats, brown rice, yams, sweet potatoes etc. As you have special dietary requirements for your condition, you need to listen to your dietitian. I do not have diabetes and follow a way of eating that over the years I have found to work best for me and what I do. You must remember that I teach fitness and dance for a living, so my cal.reqs will be diff than someone with a desk job

  16. can you please come too my house and teach me that :)

  17. @lisareneetaija Thank you for the reply! I forgot to ask what you think of protein powders, I know that the best source is through food, do these powders actually make a difference in your training, I would rather ask someone like you who I respect and can see that you clearly have the knowledge. Again thanks, and thank you for being a huge role model for me health and fitness wise!

  18. @daisylyn1000 I do use protien powders (allmax isolate whey). Make sure you calculate the proper amount of protien you need for your body so you do not have too much. Thanks for the kind words :)

  19. @lisareneetaija Thank you for the info!

  20. I have back issues, ruptured L5 and tears in L1-4. I have done PT, basic back strengthening and am ready to move on to ab workouts. I was advised that any kind of crunches would be unadvisable. How can I strengthen my core best without compromising my discs? I just subscribed, and love your vids I’ve seen so far.

  21. this is really nice thank u so much for this tips this is my first time when m going to do that i feel tired so sometimes i dont want to do what should i do should i do like 15 minutes in a day and one more thing for good body posture how many time should i do in the whole day can u tell me i want to gain some wait can it be helpful for me this exercise to gain weight

  22. @deepbachan it is hard for me to tell you exactly what you should do for your own situation. I dont know if you have any medical conditions or if you are eating enough or eating the right things. If you are looking to put on muscle, these exercises will help tone you, but you need to make sure you are eating properly for your body to give you tthe results you are looking for.

  23. @kathryn120 I dont like to give specific recommendations to individuals who I have not seen in person. It would be best for you to speak with a physiotherapist who can recommend strengthening exercises that would be best suited for you. If you are visiting a chiropractor, they should have some suggestions as well. Good luck!

  24. o thank u so much for your answer i’ll try this exercise today can u tell one more thing when should we do the exercise before eating and after how long we should eat the food and it is necessary if u doing exercise u should meat bcoz iam vegetarian

  25. Thanks good lookin’, I’ve been running now for a week and a half or so, Me thinking I’m so smart, was only doing 4 or 5 stretches, And I wondered why my legs killed me so bad.
