Are vitamin tablets really good for you?
I have heard alot about vitamin pills, some sources say they are a great way to supplement your diet and ensure your body gets everything it needs, some say your body does not absorb anything from them and you just urinate them out, it is true that your urine changes color when you take vitamin tablets, and some believe that it may actually be bad for you to take vitamins daily. So what is the truth about vitamin supplements?

As far as I know, if one takes balanced diet, there is no need for extra vitamin tablets/capsules etc. Some people taking specific medicines need extra dose of vitamin. Excess vitamin intake can actually be harmful for body.

Vitamins and minerals help give us nutrition and protection from harmful factors such as pollution, UV rays, especially if you have a bad diet. Too much, though, is really detrimental for the body. An example is Vitamin C. I’ve read some research that too much of this could cause our veins/arteries to harden, sometimes the cause of heart cancer. You may take much of Vitamin C if you also take Glutathione, one of the best anti-aging and anti-oxidant supplement. I’m not saying to stay away from Vitamins. There are a lot of Vitamins that come in "Multi’s". These are manufactured with research. Take a tablet a day or as prescribed by your nutritionist. A pill of those Multi-vitamins and minerals could do no harm, but at the same time, it will help boost our immune system.
