Are taking vitamins a substitute for eating healthy?
Are taking vitamins a substitute for eating healthy? I have been trying to save money so I haven't eaten a lot and usually end up having fast food. But I am taking these multi-vitamins. I also exercise everyday with a body fat % of 6.8.

Taking multi-vitamins give you the essential amino acids that your body need but does not produce. Basically, it gives you what your body asks for. Eating fast food/having unhealthy diet gives you "bad" stuff that your system shouldn’t have; things that will clog your arteries in the long run.
If you exercise every day and have body fat % that low (your in athletic range), eating fast food for short term probably won’t kill you, but it’s still nice to go check on cholesterol and sugar level first before you make that move. But being on unhealthy diet for an extended time is just asking for trouble. No multivitamin would help in removing bad substances from your body.

I don’t know what percentage of body fat is healthy or not, but I do know that vitamins are not a substitute 4 eating healthy. You can’t just take vitamins and eat whatever u want.

No not really, I would suggest eating proper foods as we were not born to live on vitamins only, and they are classified as a supplement as in if you are missing some vitamins it helps but I wouldn’t live on it first of all vitamins will only be absorbed by eating food first. Its because of Insulin just google insulin to understand more about it.
Since cave man days I don’t think our ancestors had a dino vitamin to keep them healthy hehe. So your body needs to eat even small snacks will do heck I just eat Almond nuts and it stops the hunger pang. But you really need protein if you exercise or your goin to lose heeps of muscle.

Well they both go hand in hand. The food today is not as healthy or packed with the nutrients needed by the body like it was a hundred years ago, because of mass-producing. The body still needs meat, veggies, and healthy fat too. Fast food is not quality food…

vitamins dont substitue for eating, they help your teeth and help yourbody,not your stomach. eat veggies, if you are short on cash, try a saturday market and get stuff there, or go to wincos or walmart. their stuff isnt bad,just cheaper cause its bought in bulk.
or you could pull a dick and janes and get lots of food and maybe take some home in doggie bags if you cant finish.
