Are supplements such as vitamin E and fish oil safe to use after cornea operation?

I've been taking vitamin e softgel, b12 tablet and a combo softgel of fish oil/flax oil/borage and it seems to be hindering the recovery time of my cornea after surgery. Or is it all in my head?
Thanks Linda R...I think I will

  1. the diet you have suggested is for retina and your cornea is avascular gets it supply from the fluid in front of the eye and it dose not need that much as retina

  2. The oils have the function of thinning the blood. You should discuss any supplements and over the counter meds with your doctor. Your eyes are too precious to leave to yahoo answers.

  3. i agree with linda. discuss supplements with your dodctor however, healthy foods that naturally have fish oils/vitamin e are great for you and will help you eyes. supplements however need to be consulted with a proffesional eye doctor.
