Another weight loss question.?
Okay, so i am 22 years old, 5'6 and I went to this diet doctor to get on some medicine. Well so she said basically that i have 40 pounds to loose in 4 months, which is of course 10 pounds a month.
Well she put me on phentermine. Along with vitamins and Calcium supplements also. I have heard a lot of bad things about phentermine but i'm not worried about it for now. My main concern is, by last Thursday when i weighed in at the Doctor, i weighed 176, my goal is to get down to 140. Which i have NEVER been passed 169 in my weight loss dilemma. As of right now, a week and one day later i am back down to 169, so i have lost 7 pounds in a week. Which i'm not sure if this is good or bad? Plus now that i'm on this medication and diet whenever i work out i'm VERY weak after i work out and i'm almost sick? It's very strange.. could this be from not eating enough protein?
Someone told me this could be water weight. Which is what i'm assuming it is. But since then i haven't lost any more weight since the 7 pounds and i'm wondering if there is something i am doing wrong or if once i loose the water weight if that is just it? I don't know. Basically i have just quit with the carbs. Which has also been making me feel sick and VERY weak. I'll be okay until i work out then i'm done and can't even get back up. So what do you think? Any advice would be wonderful!
Well let me also explain, i work out every day on my lunch at work. We have a gym downstairs and i go to work out every hour monday thru friday. When i get through working out is when i feel extremely week. I believe this is from lack of protein. We're only allowed 50 Carbs a day though. No counting calories. It's basically the atkins diet on medicine.
& also, yes loosing the weight fast just happened. not that i wanted it to, but since i have, i am getting worried once this is over i will gain it back, what can i do to maybe slow this process down some?

Don’t worry about how much you’re losing as long as is supervised by a doctor.

it could be from not having enough protein or not drinking enough water. losing 7 lbs a week isnt very healthy. if you plan on keeping the weight off, its better to shed it slowly
im dieting also and i keep track of everything with my blog:

Get to the Gym:
10-30 minutes on the treadmill
10 minutes rowing (Its gets boring)
Free weights (Whatever you like)
Swimming 30 minutes straight after
And then Sauna/Steam for 1 hour
3 times a week should just about do it

First off, its horrible to cut out carbs because your body uses carbs as its primary source of energy, which is why youre feeling weak.
im not familiar with the medication or if it is solely for weight loss
but normal amouts to lose is 2-3 lbs a week, 5 is pushing it
by losing weight too fast, youre so much more likely you are to gain it right back,
so be careful with how quickly youre losing.

Doctors have good intentions, but they will give you drugs (bad) to try and help you lose wieght, then they can say they helped you and get paid, but even they know that a doctor doesnt need to be there to help you lose wieght, all you need is determination. Its mainly the idea of no excuses, and this applies to working out trends and especially eating habits.
that 7 pounds is the water wieght, thats good, but now you go to the next step: burning fat.
1st change your diet, second is to follow through no excuses. not even once.
what i did to lose the 20 pounds i lost in just one month was just to cut out completely all forms of sugar and sweeteners outside of fruit, all dairy products including eggs, and any foods that had white flour/bleached flour. the 3 bad whites as my holistic doctor explained lol. i was confined to eating all natural food, checking labels, and eating only before i knew i was going to work or school, and not eating for taste, never eating to feel full or satisfy emotions. but i didnt do any exercise at all, and lost 20 pounds, now imagine if you add exercize!
years of eating the socially accepted standard of consumption and then stopping the cycle can cause you to feel extremely hungry, but after a week of ignoring those desires and seeing the results the confidfence to continue will greatly increase.
just grab some music and walk around the block or around the nearest park, it doesnt have to be a relay race to lose wieght, if you walk one mile everyday and eat 3 pieces of fruit for breakfast, only lean meats and veggies for lunch and dinner with a daily vitamin, the pounds will drop. the key is to do it everyday. just one mile. everyday. no breaks, once walking a mile with no breaks gets easier then go to a jog. the key factor is diet, if you feel full after eating you ate too much, if you can stay away from the 3 whites you will succeed. try it out, you have nothing to lose but weight, it worked for me and it’ll work 4 u, stay positive this can only help you in the end. and you’ll never know if you dont do it.

1. exercise for 30 minutes every day.
try jogging or running on the tredmill or join a sport like baseball or soccer.\
2. stop eating/drinking anything with refined sugars or that is processed.
sugers turn into fat. Sugars actually turn into fat quicker than other foods
3. drink 64 oz. of water every day (this might be hard, but that is the amount u should aim to get every day)
When a person is thirsty, the brain sends messages to your throat and stomach. Even though the throat might be trying to tell you that u r thirsty, the signals in the stomach are more noticeable. The stomach makes you feel hungry when you are actually thirsty sometimes. So, when u r hungry, u might be thirsty, so try drinking water first
4. watch your calories
aim to only eat about 2500 calories a day. One pound of fat is made up of 3500 calories. If you eat less than 2500 calories a day and only eat about 2000 calories a day. If you do this, you will lose about a pound a week
