I’m vegetarian and thought that i would like to try maybe not stay but try raw food and this kefir sounds good!
Oh and I’ve always wondered what raw food eaters do with their stoves ^_^

Bought grains from Marian (sp.?) the kefir lady…no problems there. Made it several times, but only once felt good after drinking it – think sugar/alcohol ratio was off. Forgot about the grains for awhile, so they’re smaller and sad-looking. I now have them in a jar in my fridge. Perhaps I’ll try again – better than consuming that powdered probiotic stuff – never felt good after taking that. As a small aside, think the word is pronounced kuh fear.

I have your book, and I enjoy your vids just as much. I will have to try this kefir.
July 25th, 2010 - 04:00
Ani, I’m so proud you made a video on water kefir. I remember how curious you were when I posted my video blog tutorial on water kefir and look at you now. You have learned and inspiring others. Great job! :-)

Hi Ani, I noticed you used a clamp-on lid, does the fermentation cause pressure? I know making rejuvilac and other fermented things, there is off-gassing. Does kefir do that? any other fruit or herb mixtures to suggest? would mint work? what do you do when you go on vacation and can’t attend to it for a week?
July 27th, 2010 - 06:06
After you pour the kefir into the bowl and out/away from the grains how long will it last and can you put it in the fridge?
July 28th, 2010 - 02:33
@aniphyo I would have NEVER guessed, thai maybe, philipino would be a stretch but never would have guessed korean. I even thought you might be hawaiian lol Either way you’re beautiful and glowing, such an inspiration for a raw food lifestyle =)
Thanks for all the great vids you put up, can’t wait to get your new book!

your “kefir” pronunciation is wrong
August 17th, 2010 - 16:23
@ytertyu have you ever heard of cultural pronunciations? Guess not.
August 17th, 2010 - 16:26
@ytertyu Gurss you never heard of cultural pronunciation. Not every one pronounces words the same way in any language. I hope you can see the benefits of what she is promoting and get over how she says kefir.
August 17th, 2010 - 16:32
@ytertyu Guess you have never heard any word in the English language pronounced differently or even mean something totally different. A flat, in England is where a person may live. A flat in the United States is what happens when the air is lost from a tire. In music A flat is a musical note. Get a life and get some water kefir in your belly. The bacteria may help your nutritional uptake and may just make you less critical of others trying to do good in the world.

How do you care for your kefir grains while you’re away on vacation? Do they die if they are left to ferment too long?
August 23rd, 2010 - 01:03
can we use any type of water?
August 23rd, 2010 - 01:30
@mskitowhawk Thank you. I’ve seen on other videos where he/she has made the same comments.
August 23rd, 2010 - 12:53
@latonyanicolegoinraw as long as people are using kefir and showing others how to do the same it should not matter how she pronounces it; as long as it is understood what she is talking about.
